In April 2022, I visited my family in Guatemala and had the opportunity to document Semana Santa, a week-long Christian holiday commemorating the life, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Semana Santa in Antigua Guatemala is a vibrant and colorful celebration that takes place during the Holy Week. This event attracts visitors from all over the world and is known its intricate carpets of flowers and sawdust, solemn processions, and unique cultural experience.
